He has said that he has already followed those steps unless you are saying that he must have skipped the administrator rights part. If he didn't, then he will have to choose GDI mode. Again, this is not only a problem for vista. If he didn't follow step 2, part 3, then administrator rights is the problem. But, I'm under the assumption that he followed your guide.

I don't know thisbanlistlags, I have had ppl PM me tons of times and they forgot the administrator part. I have also tried this installation on 3 different Vista box's and the only thing ever held me back was forgetting the administrator rights. The worst that happens on Vista + DirectX-API is sometimes (Gotten rarer for some reason) the screen will lock up till you alt tab out and back in. If someone finds another issue I will be very happy so I can make this guide foolproof.

touche'

senkin, thank you very much. i must have *glanced* over that part.

sorry to anyone who i may have offended in my last post, but please understand how frustrating it is for your banlist not to work and for people to tell you to use search over and over after trying "everything" they can.

thanks again.

NP, like I said I went over this living hell of administrative blocks on vista to know thats the ONLY thing it was :)

I wish I can trim these posts down a bit so it is neat. I think I also will make that step in all red to be 100% sure ppl don't miss it.

You should make the font size "huge" and a very bright red and spam "DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP" so people can't miss it.

I got vista business edition and the hotkeys do work. Maybe you got a firewall/antispyware thing running that blocks the keyboard hook.

I got it to work perfectly, just here to report a bug. When I run banlist (3.0) I can't type anything in Internet Explorer without it crashing, for example typing an address in the address bar won't work. Just selecting a previously visited website works fine, as well as browsing, but typing anything on the keyboard results in a crash. When I close banlist it works fine again.
I think this is a hotkey conflict, as the error details point to hotkeyhook.dll.
Can this be fixed?

I beg to differ, I can make it happen every single time. All I have to do is try to type something or click in the search box and it goes boom

/agree, reboooting does not fix this problem.
Also, my hotkeys don't work (for example: F3 used to do my spoof check (/p spoof), now nothing happens when i press F3 even though manually typing /p spoof works).
I don't suppose the beta would fix either of these issues?

Like I said in your own thread you made about your issue... I don't really know the fix cause it works for me, but try the beta ver of banlist and make sure that the banlist is a fresh install. Oh yeah and make sure you did everything in my guide. The admin step is a huge one.
