Hi, I'm ElementUser, a person from Canada, and also a member of Banlist.nl Forums since approximately April 7, 2007. I started to play WarCraft 3 and Defense of the Ancients (DotA) on January 2006, and after about a year of playing, I have discovered this wonderful tool called WC3Banlist and also discovered this fantastic site to share the bans! I hope you'll do the same too.
With an attempt to make my bans more meaningful, significant and more known by people, I have decided to join a Sharing Group in the Banlist.nl Forums, and have successfully became an XML Contributor in just a month! Of course, I always have to follow standard procedures and XML Contributor Guidelines, as well as be a good host. I only warn once for inappropriate actions, as I have a very high tolerance for things like flaming, and have very little tolerance for things like Item-Stealing and other forms of laming. To be more successful, I have decided to use the maximum potential of the WC3Banlist and attempted to share my bans with others via the Banlist Buddy System, or the LSG XML File.
Not only that, but I am a fairly decent player at DotA. I have all the necessary skills (such as Last-Hitting, Denying, Proper-Micro, Common Sense, Item Knowledge, Map Knowledge, etc.) to be a decent DotA player. Of course, I play for the fun and a bit of the competitive factor. I also have some skill at Melee (not really good at micro though >.<) and at other games on WarCraft 3. I hope you'll learn something by reading my banlist thread, and hopefully will know me better for who I am.
I have recently moved from Lordaeron to Azeroth, in hopes of reducing lag and finding more active members due to timezone differences. I have also been promoted to the status of an Azeroth Approved Host! |

| 2 | Go to the "Settings" Menu. |
| 3 | Scroll all the way down and type in "ElementUser" in "Download list from:". Press "Add". |
| 4 | Open your WC3Banlist. Go to "Preferences">"Online Lists". |
| 5 | Make sure that "Make use of the services of http://www.banlist.nl" and "Upload my personal / download my buddies' banlists from banlist.nl at startup" options are checked. |
| 6 | Click "Enter login data..." and type your login information. |
| 7 | Click "Do Transfer now" to start downloading my banlist. |
| 8 | After that, go to "Preferences">"Databases" and make sure "Local Database", "Buddies' Banlists" and "Server Lists" Options are checked and you're done! Congratulations on adding ElementUser to your Banlist Buddy List! |

| 3 | Right-click that Link, select "Save Target as...", then save it in your WC3 Banlist Folder. (Default is C\Program Files\WC3Banlist) |
| 4 | Run WC3Banlist. |
| 5 | Go to "Preferences">"Online Lists". |
| 6 | Click on the first button from the top in the right-hand column that says "Load from XML file". The button looks like a piece of paper with a green circle that's surrounded on the horizontal axis by 2 arrows pointing outwards. Under the circle is 2 horizontal lines. |
| 7 | Find the AAH XML file. Click on "Open" once you've selected it. Congratulations, you have added the AAH XML File! This file includes my uploaded bans and the uploaded bans of all the other Azeroth Approved Hosts. |

About my bans: My bans are detailed, highlighting the most important details first, followed by the less important information. Most of my bans are leavers, as I rarely find any flamers/lamers/afkers. If I put in "Leaver" as a reason, I did that because they left randomly or without reason. Most people leave after the 3rd-5th death, while some just leave at awkward times =/. Recently, I have added some extra information to most of my bans.
My ban format is the following:

All my bans were made with solely my discretion and judgement; the opinions of others about whether the person deserved the ban are disregarded. I only ban when I am the host of the game. |

Reason | Explanation | | Leaving | Leaving without an approved reason by the host in a ratio of 5v5, 5v4, 4v5 or 4v4. Countdown-Leaving is not tolerated as well. |
| Hacking | Only when 100% proven; any kind of hacks have 0 tolerance. A replay will be provided for physical evidence. Examples of hacks are maphacking and drophack. |
| AFK'ing | (8+ Minutes) Going away from keyboard/being completely idle for at least 8 minutes without an approval by host. |
| Flaming | This includes Racism, Extreme-Swearing, Spamming and Extreme-Trashtalking. Only 2 warnings will be given. |
| Laming | Anything that disrupts the game significantly. This includes item-stealing/destroying from teammates, feeding, glitch exploiting, telling enemies where allies are, etc. |
| Disconnecting | Only when Plug-Pulling/Disconnecting right after threatening to leave and/or right after death and/or making it extremely evident and obvious (example, after saying "gg" or "bye"). |

Reason | Explanation | | Being a Newbie/Noob/Newb/Beginner, etc. | Everyone starts out as one, right? They just need some guidance and some encouragement instead of flaming and complaints. |
| Kill-Stealing/KS'ing | Even if you weakened the enemy to 10 HP and Spectre haunts, or you used Poison Nova to weaken every hero to 2 HP and Zeus uses Thundergod's Wrath, kill-stealing happens a lot. Intentional or not, Kill-Stealing is not a bannable offense. |
| Item-Pooling | This is completely legal according to the TDA Rules. |
| Backdooring | Any kind of backdooring will be allowed. If the enemy can't stop the backdoorer, too bad for them, they should've packed a Scroll of Town Portal, or have Boots of Travel ready. |
| Leaving (Reasonable) | Leaving in any other ratios [Below 4v4] will not result in a ban. |
| Leaving/AFK'ing (Approved) | Even in the bannable ratios [Above 4v4], only with the host's approval may the person do this. The reason must be valid to others as well. |
| Flaming/Laming (Reasonable) | The average amount of trash-talking, light insults and such will be tolerated. Even going into someone else's "Solo Lane" will be tolerated... |
| Disconnecting | In most cases, disconnecters/laggers/plug-pullers will not be banned. They will be info'ed instead. |
| Chain-Leaving | Although I will not ban for Chain-Leaving, I will still ban if the "chain-leaver" left within a valid ratio (5*v5, 5v5*, 5v4*, 4*v5, 4*v4 or 4v4*), only it will be a normal leaver ban. In other cases, Chain-Leavers will be info'ed. This is due to ASG regulations. |
